PROJECTS

This page outlines the key processes that I have used both personally, throughout my Masters Programme at BCU, and professionally within my design projects.

Ranging from initial site analysis, mapping and photography to detailed planting design and construction detail I have gained experience across a wide variety of methods and approaches to design and these are demonstrated throughout the projects on this site.

For more information and imagery on some of these projects please find links in individual projects under the tab above.

DETAIL

Site analysis forms the being of any design project or LVIA. Analysing the existing landscape context as well as the population and ecology of the space, is to ensure that the the design is able work within its setting.

Establishing a concept or proposed outcome for a design is key. By setting aims and goals for a project to achieve establishes a vision and creates a focus for the design process going forward.

Using spatial principles, and building upon the established concepts and design principles to rationalise ideas, I have produced a number of masterplans.

Detailed design comprises of more in depth prescription or specification for both hard and soft landscape areas. It includes detailed planting plans and construction drawings analysing materials and key plant species throughout a design.
